Daily Water Supply System Status Update (afternoon)
Water supply status update by exception (i.e. areas affected due to supply constraint and not service interruption from occasional pipe burst)

The water supply across the City of Johannesburg is normal, with reservoir levels across the city in a satisfactory position.
With the return of the high temperatures, residents are reminded that level-2 water restrictions are still in place and must be adhered to.
Level-2 water restrictions according to section 44 (3) of the Water Services Bylaw states that all consumers are forthwith compelled:
a) Not to water and irrigate their gardens from 6am - 6pm every day;
b) Not to fill their swimming pools with municipal water; and
c) Not to use hosepipes to wash their cars, paved areas, etc.
Water saving tips
 Don’t leave taps dripping;
 Take short 5 minute showers; and
 Use bathwater or grey-water to water the garden.
Residents are urged to remain active partners in reducing the amount of water used in the City of Johannesburg and are strongly urged to use water sparingly when the warmer weather returns.
Residents are encouraged to subscribe, on our website, to our SMS notification service for alerts on planned or unplanned service interruptions.
